Privacy Policy

Personal information is information about an individual that allows that person to be identified. This information is confidential, i.e. it cannot be communicated to third parties without the consent of the person concerned, except in cases expressly provided for by law. Personal information must be protected, whether it is stored by us or by a third party, regardless of the nature of the medium or the form it takes (written, graphic, sound, visual, computerized or other).

By providing us with personal information, you agree to its processing as set out in this policy and you authorize the APLG to process your personal information for the purposes set out in this policy.

All APLG members who collect, use or disclose personal information are required to comply with this policy. This policy also extends to agents, service providers and partners with whom the APLG may share certain personal information for the purpose of carrying out a mandate or performing a service contract.

Agents, service providers and partners must offer, at a minimum, the same level of protection for personal information as the APLG.

We limit the personal information provided to these third parties to that which is reasonably necessary for them to perform their functions. Mandates and contracts entered into with third parties require them to take reasonable measures in accordance with the law to ensure the confidentiality of such information.

The nature and sensitivity of the information we collect about you will vary depending on the services we provide and the legal requirements with which we must comply.

• Email address.

The purposes for which we collect your personal information are identified at or before the time of collection.

When we collect personal information about you in accordance with this policy, we obtain your consent to use it only for the purposes for which it was collected. We will not use your personal information for any other purpose without your consent, except as permitted by law. If you do not consent to the collection, use and sharing of your personal information, we may not be able to provide you with the services you have requested.

You have the right to access and rectify your personal information. You may also withdraw your consent to the disclosure and/or use of your personal information at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions. We will inform you of the consequences of such withdrawal of consent.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, your personal information is only accessible to persons authorized to access it and only for the purposes of carrying out their duties.
