The APLG’s New Website

When a new team of Board members started in 2018, one of many objectives was to renew our website. However, we ended up focusing on issues related to protecting the lake (mines, Sentinelles, navigation, Integrated Lake Study, etc.) rather than on thewebsite. In 2024, we found out about a discretionary funding program from our MNA, Mathieu Lacombe, intended to subsidize activites for lake associations in the Petite-Nation. We submitted an application, which was accepted, and, with this funding, we set up an internal group led by Board member Pierre Martel to launch the project. At our Annual General Meeting, François Dubreuil, an APLG member and owner of a website company, approached us and offered to do the work for a reduced fee.
Here’s the result. It’s the culmination of numerous meetings, discussions, editing and adjustments. It took a long time, but we’re happy with the result. Take a few moments to explore it. You’ll find all the references and information you’re used to, as well as updates, new information and plenty of images and interesting archive photos. Feel free to send us your comments. The site is in WordPress, which means we can continually improve it.
In closing, we would like to thank Pierre Martel, Olivier Bodard our webmaster, Anne Wells, François Dubreuil from Zedimage and Mathieu Lacombe, MNA for Papineau, who provided the funding.
