November 2 Municipal Election Results
The November 2 municipal elections are now complete. Here are the official results for the positions up for election in Duhamel, as well as for the position of prefect of the Papineau RCM.
Position 1 – Municipal Councillor (Duhamel)
- Voter turnout: 35.94%
- Number of valid votes: 396
- Rejected votes: 13
- Registered voters: 1,138
Results:
- Marie-Céline Hébert (incumbent) – 58.33% (231 votes)
- Sophie Legault – 41.67% (165 votes)
➡️ Marie-Céline Hébert is re-elected to the position of municipal councillor, position 1, with a majority of 66 votes.
Position 6 – Municipal Councillor (Duhamel)
- Voter turnout: 35.94%
- Number of valid votes: 402
- Rejected votes: 7
- Registered voters: 1,138
Results:
- Brigitte Mironchuck – 60.70% (244 votes)
- François Dulong – 27.11% (109 votes)
- Gilles Payer (held another position) – 12.19% (49 votes)
➡️ Brigitte Mironchuck is elected to the position of municipal councillor, position 6, with a majority of 135 votes.
Prefect position – Papineau RCM
- Voter turnout: 45.30%
- Number of valid votes: 10,537
- Rejected ballots: 715
- Registered voters: 24,840
Results:
- Paul-André David – 61.32% (6,461 votes)
- Pierre Bernier – 38.68% (4,076 votes)
➡️ Paul-André David is elected Prefect of the Papineau RCM, with a majority of 2,385 votes.
