On August 31, I’m voting NO! Fifth Communication

Hello,

The registration period for the mining referendum has ended. Thanks to everyone’s collaboration, 255 people have now been added to the electoral roll! Our thanks go out to everyone who went door to door!

If you are not sure whether you are registered, you can contact the Duhamel municipality (819-428-7100) to check. You will be able to register during the Commission de révision de la liste référendaire. To do so, you must go to the Duhamel municipal office in person during the following times:

Monday, August 11, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., or Friday, August 15, from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. or from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Several citizens have completed the back of the form to be able to vote by mail. In this case, your ballot will be mailed from the municipality on Monday, August 18. If you have not received it by August 21, you must contact the municipality. Your completed and mailed ballot must be received by the municipality no later than Friday, August 29 for your vote to be valid. It can also be dropped off in person at the municipal offices until 4:00 p.m. on the 29th.

Given the short period to vote by mail, you can vote in person, in advance on Sunday, August 24, from noon to 8:00 p.m. at the Duhamel municipal hall.

You can also wait to vote on the official referendum day, Sunday, August 31, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Please note that there may be a slight delay for people who had requested to vote by mail and who vote in person on August 24 or 31, as the municipality will have to verify that it has not received a mail-in ballot from them.

In the meantime, you’ll see new posters in and around the village and the media coverage will continue!

On August 31, I’m voting NO!
