Our former president, Richard Chartrand—now honorary member of the APLG—recently shared his incredible journey on Radio-Canada. Alongside his friend Gérard Bodard, he designed and built the Route des Zingues trail, a natural gem of the Outaouais region.
This 20 km trail connects Lake Gagnon to Lake Preston, winding through old-growth forests, scenic lookouts, and breathtaking views. It’s been part of the National Trail network since 2011, and was recently extended to Lake Marie-Lefranc with a floating platform added in 2024 for dry crossings.
