The APLG congratulates Mr. Richard Chartrand on a well-deserved recognition

The APLG is proud to recognize the honour bestowed upon Mr. Richard Chartrand, former President of the APLG and former Mayor of Duhamel, who received the Lieutenant Governor’s Medal for his exceptional volunteer involvement.

The APLG was especially proud to have submitted Mr. Chartrand’s nomination, helping to highlight more than 50 years of commitment to his community, his region, and the protection of our living environment. A deeply engaged citizen of Duhamel, Mr. Chartrand has made a remarkable contribution to the visibility and vitality of Lac Gagnon, the Petite-Nation, and the Papineau-Labelle Wildlife Reserve.

Over the years, his inclusive leadership, generosity, and passion for nature have inspired and mobilized many people. As a former mayor, association president, and trail builder, he embodies the values of volunteerism, respect for the land, and solidarity that are so important to our community.

The APLG was represented at the award ceremony by Gérard Bodard, volunteer, and Olivier Bodard, member of the Board of Directors. Their presence reflected the recognition and esteem that the association has for Mr. Chartrand.

On behalf of its members, the APLG extends its sincere congratulations to Mr. Richard Chartrand for this fully deserved honour, and thanks him for his long-standing dedication to the community.
